The redesigned 11th generation of the Honda Civic has just won another prestigious award. The new 2022 Honda Civic was named the Canadian Car of the Year by AJAC, a prestigious title that is considered the most significant award offered in Canada for a new car.
“This is an incredible accomplishment for the Civic, we are delighted to accept this award,” said Steve Hui, Assistant Vice President, Honda Canada. “The all-new Civic has been praised globally by journalists and car enthusiasts alike, it is well deserving of this latest accolade. We are very proud of the entire team at Honda Canada who helped bring this together and our associates at Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario for building the Civic Sedan and Si, outstanding, world-class vehicles.”
The redesigned Honda Civic can add the 2022 AJAC Canadian Car of the Year to a growing list of awards that it has received since being introduced to the market last year. The new Civic was named North American Car of the Year earlier in January, and it also received the title of Best Overall Car in Canada by AutoTrader Canada. It was the best-selling car in Canada for the 24th consecutive year last year, and it was also named a Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS.
The 2022 Honda Civic offers better fuel economy as well as more comfort and more interior space. It is also refined and offers more comfort and safety technologies. It is offered in multiple versions, adding to its success and popularity. The Honda Civic is offered as a hatchback, a sedan, and a sporty Si version. Later this year, Honda will introduce the latest Honda Civic Type R, the most powerful and most capable vehicle it has ever built.
