Pricing announced for the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback

In a few days, on October 1st to be precise, the hatchback version of the new 2022 Honda Civic will arrive in dealerships. Recently, Honda Canada revealed the prices of all the versions that will be marketed. Let's see what it will cost to get the new Honda Civic hatchback. And it's full of good news.

The first is the starting price of $28,000. That's less than with the previous generation, because a base version with the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine (158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque) is offered. This LX version will be offered at the price mentioned, to which you have to add $1,700 for shipping and preparation costs.

The second piece of good news is that there is no price difference between a model equipped with the six-speed manual transmission or the continuously variable transmission (CVT). This is true for every model variant, mind you. And both transmissions are available with every Civic hatchback.

And this base version is well equipped with heated seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto apps, push-button start, a split-folding rear seat, and a seven-inch screen for the multimedia system.

When you move up to the Sport model, the powertrain changes back to the 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that already served the previous generation. With 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, this one makes driving more dynamic. The price of this model is set at $31,500, $33,200 with fees.

Amenities include a heated steering wheel, an eight-speaker audio system, a sport pedal, as well as seats specific to this version. On the outside, 18-inch wheels, black accents, and chrome exhaust tips mark the presentation.

Finally, at the top of the lineup, the Sport Touring model shows up, this time at $35,000, $36,700 with fees. Its equipment list is upgraded with navigation, a Bose audio system, a nine-inch screen for the multimedia system, parking sensors, fog lights and a digital instrument cluster.

All of this is obviously exciting. We look forward to seeing you in October to discover and test drive the model.
