Honda Expands Prologue Charging Network This Summer

Honda is taking a decisive step toward charging infrastructure expansion for Prologue owners this summer. With the introduction of Honda-approved NACS to CCS adapters, Prologue drivers will gain seamless access to Tesla's vast Supercharger network across North America, adding over 22,000 charging points to the already impressive charging options available.

Transforming the Charging Experience

For Prologue owners, this expansion represents a significant enhancement to the EV ownership experience. With the Tesla Supercharger network integration, the practical usability of your Prologue extends dramatically. The network's widespread locations fill critical gaps along major travel routes, reducing the planning typically associated with EV road trips.

The Honda Prologue already offers impressive range capabilities – up to 452 km on a single charge for EX and EX-L models and 439 km for the Touring trim. With fast-charging capabilities that can add up to 101 km of range in just 10 minutes, the Prologue delivers excellent charging performance. Now, with thousands of additional charging stations available, your long-distance travel options become even more convenient.

Honda-Approved Adapter: Safety First

Honda has prioritized safety and reliability with its officially approved NACS to CCS adapter. Unlike third-party alternatives, the Honda-approved adapter has undergone rigorous compatibility testing specifically with the Prologue. This testing ensures optimal performance and protects your vehicle's sophisticated electrical systems.

The adapter will be available exclusively through authorized Honda dealerships starting this summer, with pricing to be announced closer to launch. Using unapproved adapters may risk damage not covered by your vehicle's warranty, making the official Honda adapter the smart choice for Prologue owners.

Honda will notify Prologue owners through the HondaLink app when adapters become available. The app will also be updated to show authorized Tesla Supercharger locations, providing a seamless way to locate all compatible charging stations in your area.

Building a Comprehensive Charging Network

Tesla Supercharger access is just one component of Honda's broader vision for EV charging infrastructure. By 2030, Honda aims to provide Prologue owners with access to approximately 100,000 DC fast-charging points across North America. This network will include the Tesla Supercharger network, the new IONNA DC fast-charging network, and established systems like EVgo and Electrify America.

The Prologue itself is well-equipped for this expanding charging ecosystem, featuring an 85 kWh battery capacity and 288 hp with 333 lb-ft of torque through its dual-motor All-Wheel Drive system. The vehicle's DC fast-charging capability allows drivers to go from 20% to 80% charge in just 35 minutes – perfect for taking advantage of the growing fast-charger network.

The Prologue comes in three trims – EX, EX-L, and Touring – each offering extensive comfort and technology features including an 11.3-inch touchscreen display, Google Built-In capability, and advanced Honda Sensing safety features. With a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds, the Prologue combines practical utility with zero emissions driving.

Your Honda Prologue is about to become even more versatile. With Tesla Supercharger access coming this summer and Honda's commitment to expanding charging options, electric vehicle ownership is becoming increasingly convenient.
